Cracking a cold one and stomping the skate session have always gone together.

It’s just part of the ritual, the meetup, the warm up, or the cool down, then someone cracks a beer, and the session really gets started. Whether it’s a parking lot, a crusty DIY, or a perfect manual spot, having a beer while skating has always been part of the culture. But lately, I’ve been rethinking the go-to. Beer’s great until it isn’t, the sluggishness, the heaviness, the way it drags on endurance and adds dehydration. That’s why I’ve been reaching for Flying Cloud instead.

It’s got that same easygoing, crack and chill vibe, but without the downsides. No gut full of bubbles weighing me down, no fading energy after a couple, just a smooth, refreshing sip that keeps the session flowing. Flying Cloud hits that perfect balance, relaxing without slowing me down, light without feeling weak, and, most importantly, it actually tastes good. Like, really good.

Skateboarding is all about feel, finding that perfect rhythm where your body, board, and the ground move as one. For me, the best way to tap into that state of mind starts before I even step on my board. That’s where Flying Cloud THC beverages come in. Cracking open a Flying Cloud while stretching before a session has become a ritual, helping me ease into the right mindset while staying social with my homies.

The Perfect Pre-Session Pairing

Skating takes a mix of focus, looseness, and confidence. Too much tension, and your tricks feel forced. Too little, and you risk taking a pretty bad slam (and if friends are filming, you’ll never live that down). That’s why I love sipping a Flying Cloud before I drop my board. Unlike smoking, which can sometimes feel heavy or make my lungs tight, a Flying Cloud hits in a smoother, more controlled way. It’s light, refreshing, and gives just the right amount of chill to take the edge off without slowing me down so I can stay focused on the trick I’m trying.

Another added bonus? I can sip Flying Cloud while I stretch. Any skater knows that warming up and stretching is key, especially if you’re planning to push yourself and battle a trick. A Flying Cloud helps me ease into the session, letting me shake off any stiffness from the day while getting mentally prepped for whatever the session brings.

Still Being Social in the Session

Skating is also as much about community as it is about progression. Some of my favorite skate sessions aren’t even the ones where I land something new, but the ones where I’m just hanging with the crew, throwing ideas back and forth, and hyping each other up (but usually talking shit to each other).

That’s another reason I reach for a Flying Cloud instead of something else before (or during) a session. Smoking usually means stepping away from the group for a minute, which can interrupt the flow of conversation, and if you’re the only one, you look kinda weird. While cracking a beer might seem like a classic skater move (and it always will be), it’s not always the vibe, especially when I want to stay sharp.

With a Flying Cloud, I can just crack the top, take a sip, and keep the conversation going. It feels natural, like grabbing an energy drink before a workout, but with the added bonus of a mellow, focused buzz where I still have the mechanics of my body working together.

Keeping It Light and Easy

Flying Cloud nails the taste, too. A lot of other THC drinks still have that unmistakable weed aftertaste, which isn’t always what I want before a session. But Flying Cloud keeps it clean and refreshing, every time. Kind of like those nostalgic sodas we all grew up drinking. It fits the vibe perfectly, especially when I’m at the park on a warm day, getting ready for a new sesh, with the sun shining down.

Another aspect of Skateboarding is all about balance, physically, mentally, and socially. Having a Flying Cloud THC beverage before I skate helps me hit that sweet spot where I feel relaxed enough to pause for a conversation, but focused enough to jump back into my trick battle at any moment, ready to push myself without overthinking it. It’s become a part of my pre-session ritual, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

So next time you're stretching out, and getting ready for a session, try cracking open a Flying Cloud. You might just find your balance a little faster.

After the Sesh with Flying Cloud

If there’s another thing every skater deals with, it’s that the end of a session hits differently. Your legs are shot and feel like jello, your body’s buzzing from the tricks you landed, and your mind is replaying the ones that took you out. That post-skate moment when you finally sit down, breathe, and let it all sink in, it’s just as much part of the session itself. And for me, that’s when a Flying Cloud THC beverage hits just right.

The Cool Down: Letting the Session Settle In

Skateboarding is a full-body workout, whether you realize it or not. By the time I’m done, my muscles are tight, my knees feel every slam, and I can tell tomorrow’s going to bring some soreness. That’s why winding down properly is key, not just physically, but mentally too.

After an intense session, I like to find a good spot to chill, crack open a Flying Cloud, and stretch out again. The light, refreshing taste of Flying Cloud makes it an easy drink to enjoy, and the THC helps smooth out any lingering jitters from pushing myself all sesh. It’s like a signal to my body that it’s time to relax, loosen up, and start recovering. Once again proving how well Flying Cloud and stretching go together (even if you dont skate, and are reading this, move your body).

Processing the Lands and Slams

Every skate session comes with highs and lows. Some days, you stomp every trick you set out to try. Other days, the board just isn’t cooperating, and nothing makes any sense. Either way, there’s something about sitting back after a session and reflecting on it that makes the experience whole worthwhile.

A Flying Cloud helps me process it all. It takes the pressure off, helping me appreciate the tricks I did land while not dwelling too hard on the ones that got away. Skating is very much about progression, and the more relaxed I am about my slams, the more likely I am to come back stronger next time, with better muscle memory. Instead of getting frustrated, I can enjoy the process, knowing that every fall is just part of the game, and my Flying Cloud helps me remember that a little quicker.

Keeping the Good Vibes Going

The post-skate chill isn’t JUST about recovery, it’s also one of the best times to hang out. When the session’s over, nobody’s in a rush anymore. We’re all just kicking back, talking about the best moments of the day, throwing out ideas for what to try next time, rewatching the clips we just got, or just laughing at whatever dumb stuff happened.

That’s another reason a Flying Cloud fits perfectly. Flying Cloud is smooth, easy to sip, and keeps the good vibes rolling without making me feel too weighed down. It’s different from grabbing a beer, and it doesn’t leave me sluggish or dehydrated, but I’m relaxed in the best way possible. I can still be present, still be part of the conversation, and still feel connected to the people I just spent hours skating with, without feeling like a weirdo.

Ending on the Right Note

By the time I finish my Flying Cloud, I’m feeling good, body calm, my mind clear, a little bit of my energy reset. I know I gave it my all, and whether or not I landed what I went there to do, I know I’ll be back at it soon, ready to go again. That’s the beauty of skateboarding, every session is its own experience, but they all add up to something bigger.

Having a Flying Cloud THC beverage after skating isn’t just about relaxation; it’s about appreciating the process. The battles, the lands, the slams, it’s all part of the game. And winding down with the right drink makes that game even better.

So next time you get to the end of the sesh, sit back with the homies, and let those post-session feels settle in, and crack open a Flying Cloud. It’s the perfect way to cap off the day, celebrate the effort (or try to forget about the pain), and get ready for whatever comes up for the next mission.
